Spanish resort unveils Polin-designed waterpark

Designed and supplied by Polin, Splash World Waterpark has opened in Malaga, Spain.

It covers more than 215,278sq ft (20,000sq m) and is located at the Hotel Globales Playa Estepona.

Polin used RTM manufactured waterslides throughout the park, a technology it says offers low emissions as well as components that are stronger, lighter and have uniform thickness, making them easy to install.

The company said its process also gave both sides of every waterslide component a smooth, silky finish. Many of its slides also feature ‘Natural Light Effects’ technology, in which the flowing water interacts with sunlight to create colourful designs to riders as they slide through.

Among the rides installed are a ‘Multi Slide’, ‘Kamikaze’, ‘Black Hole’, ‘Aquatube’ and two ‘Space Holes’, while Polin designed a number of waterplay options to keep smaller children safe and busy. The company said the biggest draw for children was the ‘B6 Type Water Play Structure’, which incorporates numerous elements such as tipping buckets, slides, net climbs and water cannons.

Splash World's other water offerings include a wave pool, an L-shaped pool with a bar and a more relaxed pool located in the hotel's gardens.
